America, it’s business-as-usual in Washington and that means our business isn’t getting done. Neither the Democrats or Republicans , nor the executive office is leading to address the needs and wants of the majority of Americans. Why?  Because it’s easier to take ideologically strident positions and blame the “other guy” for “obstructionism” than it is to get together and hammer out solutions to things that can be agreed on.  And when politicians are too busy pandering to voters on the far right and far left, or kowtowing to special interests, and afraid of making meaningful changes that will upset the status quo, we all suffer.

More and more of the pols have turned getting elected into careers. They appear to be in it for their own interests – Ego, Power, Money and Fame. (Know any Senators or Congressman who didn’t leave office as millionaires or became ones soon after?) In many cases they are in the best jobs they’ve ever had where they can vote their own raises, and no real accountability is really required.  It’s no wonder American voters are ticked off. They very people we elect to solve problems are creating the problems.  They are crushing the American dream all in the name of “doing what’s best for us”.  Do you feel your city, state or the U.S. is in better shape as a result of the people recently elected?
